About The Author
Michelle Hamson
Michelle Hamson is the author of Beneath the Pedestal. A mother of eight through birth, fostering, and adoption, she and her husband opened their home to children in Foster Care for many years. This was a strong passion and they eventually ended up adopting some of the children. Michelle also had a very successful cleaning business, in which she employed women from shelters, as well as men and women that needed help living off the streets. Those experiences—guided by her Christian faith—inspired Michelle to write about the people and their stories in Beneath the Pedestal.
Born to an addicted mother and three fathers, sisters Hanna, Lindsey, and Sami are torn from a motel room and split into separate foster homes. As the eldest, Hanna fights to reunite them. Trauma strains her mental health, but the paper dolls she once made become her anchor. An unexpected “knight in armor” offers real tenderness and the chance to heal. Guided by faith and stubborn hope, Hanna must decide whether to trust love, and whether miracles can happen in the life she was given without a choice.
